Though it's been many years since Ollie or I made a post, it seemed fitting to make one last entry here. We began this blog together when he first came to us as a foster from the Waco Humane Society, and we continued together after he became a permanent member of our family.

 Friday, August 23, 2019, Ollie went to The Bridge.

He lived with us for nine years making it to the venerable age of 19.

When we left Waco for Dallas in April 2014, he made that trip.

When we left Dallas for Youngstown, Ohio in late August 2016, he made that trip.

 There are many memories, and it's very quiet now. Your voice. Your purr. Your sleek black panther look will always be missed.

Sometimes Ollie makes a pick that can be a bit tough.

This fellow is in the Sherman shelter which is a gassing shelter and which has a 7 day eu plan. So.........today's Shelter Cat Saturday is a bit pressed for time. And he's a handsome gent. The black and whites are such a striking color combo, and this boy is no exception.

Ollie would REALLY like to see this handsome boy find his forever home. Sherman isn't that far? Don't you feel a road trip coming on? Ollie says he'll love you Furever and Ever if you drop by and take this pretty boy home. :)

Today's SCS is really special. Ollie wants to show the black cats that are available at the Rowlett, TX shelter where I'm doing work with their Facebook page. It's a special day for the shelter because they're having their "Empty The Shelter" event all day today.

Ollie didn't want to make a long road trip today for his Shelter Cat Wednesday selection, so we just hopped in the "car" and toodled on down to Killeen.

He found himself a pretty little black and white baby girl there who really needs someone to take her away from it all. Pepper is ready for life outside a shelter. Can you offer her one? It would make Ollie REALLY happy!

Actually, this is sort of a test drive for TAC's return. It's short. It's sweet. I've dropped one of the shelters I'm helping (I do online stuff so I'm not limited by physical presence stuff like being two places at one time.), so I have a bit of time available.

Ollie has been getting a Tortie "fix" for the last couple of weeks. He loves him some tortitude, and today he's found just a little smidgeon of a girl up in Carrollton, and he thinks he sees a lot of that in her.

10 week old Saphire IS a doll baby. And she needs a savior by 6 pm Tuesday. She's up in the shelter in Carrollton, and that's no place for a little doll to be. Ollie said you need to get over there RIGHT NOW (that's him yelling, not me) and take little Saphire home and if you do it today, the shelter has a special running on kittens....$10

Ollie is taking a serious road trip today....going ALL the way down to Vidor, outside Beaumont.

He saw this gorgeous little girl on Facebook last night, and just fell in love....got Ollie drool all over my monitor!

Vidor Animal Control doesn't appear to have a Petfinder page, but they do have a Facebook Page (Vidor Animal Control), and their phone number is 409-769-8718.

Seems like Ollie is hanging out a lot in Collin County. Probably still mooning over Inez and Inga. :)

Regardless, that shelter is FULL to the brim. The cats there are in grave danger and, as you can guess, the black cats are high on the list.

So Ollie feels like he needs to help out. He found Hampton today (and I forgot to post until LATE), and he said, "Now HERE is a handsome black house panther!" (Under his breath he said "Almost as handsome as me" but I didn't let on I heard him.)

SCW.....Itty Bitty Kitty Version...

Ollie's going on a road trip. He hates riding in cars, so this could be really interesting, but when he saw this baby boy he KNEW it had to be his next shelter cat pick. And I mean could you ask for anything cuter??? Nah...you couldn't. And this baby boy needs to go to a really special home that will love and care for him.

Ollie sat here and tried to decide whether to pick Inez or Inga for today's Shelter Cat Saturday. Back and forth and back and forth and back.and... well, you get the idea. I finally told him not to play favorites and select them both. After all, it's HIS blog....he can do what he wants and I'm just the typist. :)

Inez and Inga are two very striking young ladies in the Collin County shelter. And two more beautiful girls I've not seen in awhile. I can see why Ollie had a hard time choosing.
