I told foster meowmy that it is SOOOOOOOOO nice of her to put this shelf up on her desk so Howdy and me can birdwatch. This is the other reason it's really, really good.

I'm not so sure she likes me.

But some things overcome adversity.

And besides, who wouldn't love this face?

Foster meowmy said the shelf in front of the window was SUPPOSED to belong to her. She's wrong. It belongs to ME (and Howdy).

Foster meowmy says she needs a translator for me.

I'm been talking to her all day, and she said she doesn't understand a word I'm saying. Apparently she doesn't speak C-A-T at all.

She also said that I'm never at a loss for words. Well, if I didn't have to repeat myself umpteen times I wouldn't be nearly so vocal.

Black Cat Friday, August 6, 2010

I adopted "Robin Obama" from the Santa Fe Humane Society last month. He's about a year old and he's about 60% black/40% white. These pictures were taken when I brought him home and he was living in my bathroom - basically cowering in the sink. Within a few days, though, he was out and about in the rest of the house, mixing quite well with his new sisters, "Phaedra" and "Alice Obama". He's a real doll. I hope you'll put up his picture. ~ Jill
