Shelter Cat Saturday, April 14, 2012
So I started doing the portal work for the cat side of the Irving shelter again last weekend. It's been awhile, and there are some very pretty kitties there. Irving is also really fortunate to have a super photographer, Amy Maxey, who is donating her time to the shelter cats.
In honor of the inaugural week of Irving kitties, Ollie went looking for his SCS pick there. NNNNNNOOOOOOOO trouble finding one. Handsome Sebastian is a very handsome senior gentleman who is looking for a forever home. Seriously head over to the Irving shelter and take Sebastian home with you. You NEED Sebastian!

Ollie was sitting here on my desk when I was updating some photos for the Georgetown shelter, and when I got to Howie, he raised his paw, batted at the screen and said "HIM"...well, not exactly, but you know what I mean.
Howie's circumstances are sort of sad. His owner had to move and could only take one pet...and the pet chosen was the dog. As you can imagine, Howie wasn't too thrilled with that! He's a sweet boy who is laid back, gets along with everyone, and really, really, REALLY deserves his own home...a FOREVER home!
So Ollie says it's Road Trip Time...drive on down to the Georgetown shelter and adopt yourself a handsome boy. Ollie will thank you and HOWIE will thank you!

This week's TAC is postponed until next week.
March 27 is the day we've reserved to honor the pets that we've lost over the years. It's the anniversary of the death of my first show dog, Gusto, and with as many furkids as we have had over the years, trying to keep track of all the dates each went to the Bridge was just too much. So we've chosen this one day to honor them all.

Ollie went up to Irving this weekend for his SCS selection. Tux is one handsome dude, and from all indications, a staff favorite and a really friendly boy who should have been in his forever home a LLLLOOONNNGGG time ago.
