Going up to the shelter in Wylie, outside Dallas, for today's Shelter Cat Saturday.

This handsome fellow doesn't have a name that I could find, but he is a good looking boy who I've read is really sweet and affectionate. What more could you want? Ollie said that HE is sweet and affectionate and so my world should be complete.

Don't you think your world could stand a little completion?

Or rather Ollie's Meowmy is putting the blog on vacation. I've been trying to keep it going while I handle a major home improvement project and it's just not working well. That's the bad news.

The good news is I'm wrapping that up, so things should be better soon.

So, until Saturday, May 26, the blog is closed for vacation. :)

This feature is going to have to take a short break while Ollie reorients himself. He's gotten quite unhappy with the camera, and it's been almost impossible to get anything decent. And, really, how many photos of a sleeping Ollie do we want? LOL

Hopefully in a couple of weeks he'll have sorted himself out and I can go back to photographing a cat that loves the camera.

Since today is Derby Day, I was trying to figure out how to work a horse into this post, but for the life of me, I just can't seem to squish that in here...Oh well.

So instead I'm heading down to Georgetown. Look at this boy, Hugo...the I'm-Not-Feral cat with the feral cat ear clip. Apparently Hugo decided the indoor life was the life for him, and the shelter reports he is a real sweetie and purr machine. So Hugo is looking for a forever home. Hop in your car, drive to the shelter and bring Hugo home. He'll be glad you did...and so will you!

Looking out my window this morning from over my computer and, unlike Ollie who is seeing birds and squirrels, I'm seeing pot plants that need water. But man! What an ordeal to drag out the hose. So I thought WATER CANS! That's the ticket!

But what do you know...there just aren't that many...what a niche. Cats would make wonderful watering cans...someone really needs to work on that!
