Tired of fighting City Hall and being ignored, a group of Garland residents who are seeking to dismantle the gas chamber at the city's animal shelter has resorted to more abrasive tactics.
Citizens for Reform of the Animal Shelter has embarked on a campaign to damage the city's reputation through public demonstrations and social media. The group has 2,500 friends on Facebook. Last week two dozen used the city's Neighborhood Summit, an event that was supposed to showcase city services, as an opportunity to spread their message.

As of 11/3/12, I've had to limit comments on Ollie's blog to only members since it's being hit by a ton of comment spam. If a few weeks, I'll open it back up. Since Ollie is currently on vacation, I don't expect it to be a problem.
