**sniff**
Meowmy never said, "Now, Ollie, when you come home with us, you'll be subjected to frequent foster D-O-G-S." Nnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooo......she never ONCE said that. But it's happened THREE times to me already. And this weekend, it's going to happen AGAIN!!!!
I'd be really really REALLY upset if she hadn't told me about what she's bringing in. She doesn't know how old she is, but she's a really funny color...some brown, but mainly there's all this white. Meowmy also said this new dog can't hear and she was all alone, walking the streets somewhere in Okl...Okla...That place right above us. Looks like one of Meowmy's pans. And where she ended up wasn't a good place for older doggies. I think I know what THAT means.
Anyway, Meowmy said I can show you all this picture. I was told her name is Alma, but Meowmy said she's going to change that.
Ollie, she looks really sweet. And I know you'd want her to be safe and happy. It's very nice of you to share your home with doggies in need. Maybe you could even make friends . . . And your Meowmy needs to do this. So please help her, OK?

Laura,
ReplyDeleteI think the main objection Ollie has, at least initially after the "OH NO NOT ANOTHER ONE." reaction, is the way they smell. Even after a bath, there's a certain rank odor that takes awhile to wear off.
That odor REALLY offends him. I don't know if it triggers a memory for him of when he was in the shelter or if he's just being a pissant.

Ollie looks like a pretty nice woofie, Ollie. We bet everything's going to be okay. And thanks to you and your mom for helping these woofies who need helping. We think you're just pawsome!
